Center Effingham is located 45 miles due west of Portland,Maine and 45 miles north and west of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The
Drake townhouse is a classic Federal clapboard built by Thomas Parsons Drake in 1819.  Mr. Drake was a prominent businessman
and entrepreneur who later became a respected judge. The current owners, Joan and Rod Lanum, have worked 17 years on restoring
the home and more recently restoring pastures for livestock.

Drake Farm is the home of Icelandic horses, bees, sheep, goats, Indycats cattery and Belle Fleur kennel.  We
are devoted to the well-being of our animals and seek to place young animals with people who share our dedication.
